Motion text

That this House recalls with horror the gas attack against the people of Halabja in 1988 by the Ba'athist regime of Iraq; notes with sadness that thousands of Kurdish people died in the carnage; and recalls the hypocrisy of the British and Western governments who not only gave loans to Iraq but participated in the Baghdad Arms Fair afterwards.
