Motion text

That this House recognises the importance of manufacturing to the British economy and how vital engineering and engineering skills are to its success; accepts the need for a cultural change in the way that engineering and manufacturing are viewed as extremely important careers, and the need for a renewed partnership between education, industry, the professional institutions and Government to bring this about; welcomes the National Week of Science, Engineering and Technology; and congratulates all those involved in its organisation.
