Motion text

That this House notes with concern that many thousands of disabled anglers will no longer qualify for concessionary rates for National Rivers Authority rod licences since the responsibility for issuing such licences has been transferred to post offices; further notes the case of disabled Leeds angler, Philip Hodgkins, who was refused a concessionary National Rivers Authority licence even though he was able to produce evidence that he was in receipt of disabled living allowance and industrial injuries benefit as well as his disabled car sticker and disabled bus pass; and calls on the Government and the National Rivers Authority to review urgently this treatment of disabled anglers.
