Motion text

That this House notes the report of the group formed to review the Forestry Commission's continued public access arrangements for woodlands after sale and its conclusion that 'the arrangements for the protection of continuing public access have not been effective'; calls for the immediate cessation of forestry sell off with no sale to be allowed until the conclusions of the Forestry Review Group are published; further calls for the protection of existing rights of people to roam; and commends the Ramblers Association for their work in highlighting the problems people have suffered in losing access to formerly Forestry Commission-owned land.
