Motion text

That this House welcomes the vote of the European Parliament to endorse effective restrictions on the transport of live animals; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to initiate, with renewed urgency, discussions in the Council of Ministers with a view to the early introduction of truly humane, comprehensive, fully and universally enforceable regulations throughout the EU.
