Motion text

That this House notes that Adam Hollioake of Surrey and England is engaged on a 2,000 mile walk/sail/cycle/row called 'Adam's Journey' from Edinburgh to Tangier to raise money through the Ben Hollioake Fund to build the Ben Hollioake Centre for life-limited children and their families in conjunction with CHASE Children's Hospice Service; notes that Adam Hollioake has announced his decision to retire from first class cricket at the end of the 2004-05 season; and therefore applauds Adam's tremendous venture for a very worthy charity, wishes him good luck on this task, and congratulates him on his superb cricket career as a very successful player for England and captain of Surrey, his success leading Surrey to win the Twenty20 Cup and on being Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2003.
