Motion text
That this House expresses concern that access to legal aid in refugee camps across mainland Europe is scarce; regrets that funds have not been made more widely available to enable human rights lawyers to go out to camps in mainland Europe to work with asylum seekers; congratulates the work of the campaign group SolidariTee for its work selling custom made tshirts on university campuses to raise funds for Advocates Abroad, a non-governmental organisation which provides legal aid and representation to refugees in Greece and Turkey; welcomes the Day of SolidariTee on 24 November 2017; and urges the Government to address the lack of funding being directed towards vital work carried out by legal aid workers in refugee camps.
